Hello! Welcome to IntroVex, your robotics guide to VEXcellence. In this article, I will briefly introduce my goals in this program and my experience in Vex to help you understand IntroVex.
Self Introduction
First, let me introduce myself. My name is Jin, and I have competed in robotics for four years. You may know me as "Purin Chan, " my main YouTube channel. You may also know me as the leader of team 6699B in Vex IQ and 66994W in Vex V5.
Future IntroVex Videos will be uploaded to the new YouTube Channel: IntroVex. Feel free to subscribe for more robotics introductions and content in the future!! 🫡
IntroVex Goals
Starting from 2020-2021 Rise Above, I have learned and gained a significant amount of experience, some of which I wish I had known earlier. I sometimes think to myself "If someone had taught me this earlier, I could've saved so much time and wouldn't be so uncertain.", "If I had these resources back then...." and much more.
However, you won't have to worry as much starting from now! I will be introducing something you might want to know in a robotics season and something you might expect on the competition day. Through IntroVex, I would like to help Vex competitors with problem solving and interact with team members who have experiences to share.
IntroVex needs your help!
To start our journey, I would like to ask some questions to you! Anything regarding Vex would be completely fine.
1. What are somethings you wished you had known sooner?
2. Did you have trouble learning anything during your robotics journey?
3. Anything you want to know and learn about?
4. Any interesting stories that you want to share?
Let me give you some examples for reference:
- I wish I had known the importance of keeping track of time during a match.
- I didn't have many resources for learning robot mechanisms and had trouble designing robots.
If you are willing to share your thoughts and answers to these questions, please fill out this Google form. I would really appreciate your help.
